"46 years old and going bald" was his 2nd attempt when his full-page life history was rejected as too large for this space. Terry joined the Club in 1978, and rallied a Mk1 Escort for some years, followed by a decade as a navigator.

Terry joined the Committee in 2000 and became our Club Secretary within a month.

Since 2005 he has put a lot of effort into the Road Rally Spectator Awareness Initiative to promote responsible behaviour, and he carries on this good work.

Competition Secretary

BARRY JOHN

Barry (and wife Seyyan, below) joined the Club in 2001 to find out more about competing and marshalling on rallies. He built a Mk1 Escort for his first road rally in 2002, and soon advanced from Novice to Semi-Expert status. With the "unfortunate end" of the Mk1, he built his current green 4-door Mk2.

Barry was elected to the Committee in 2001 and has been the Competition Secretary since 2005. He enjoys helping with organising and marshalling "which I enjoy regardless of long hours, mostly during wet wintry conditions in a forest."
