Please click on the side pane for the Results of the Club's own Red Kite Stages rally (January 2010)
Below are listed the successes of our Club members on recent events of all types.
(The names mentioned in italics are not Club members.)
Club Name on Entry Lists
The Committee requests that Club members who compete should ensure that our Club's name is correct on the rally Entry List and inform the organisers if it is not. When filling out an Entry Form please put "AMMAN" as the Club Name, not "ADMC". Within the Welsh Association of Motor Clubs there is a Club Championship, and ADMC can be confused with Aberystwyth & District Motor Club.
2011 Club Championships
Anyone wishing to take part in our 2011 club championships should speak to Barry John, our Competition Secretary, on club night. As usual, we are running Road Rally, Stage Rally and Indoor Championships. The competitors who finish in the top three places of each class in each championship will win an award to be presented at our Annual Presentation Dinner next February.
All competing Club members should submit results to Barry John so that the Championship positions can be kept up to date.
IS YOUR NAME MISSING FROM THIS PAGE?
We try to put all club members' results on this page, so if your name is missing and you would like your result posted here, please contact Barry John or Darren Morris.

BACK TO THE GRASS ROOTS (a report and photos by Terry Frayne)
Amman members Mike Frayne, Neil Rees, Tony Derrick, Seyyan John and Barry John recently formed a team to enter a Llanelli Motor Club event held high above the town. Two adjoining fields were acquired to run West Wales' answer to Le Mans, the aim being to complete as many laps as possible in the muddy conditions. For the task they acquired a BMW 520 with full service history and two owners, which they then stripped to its bare essentials and hastily added some “artwork”.
The power through rear wheel drive proved to be no advantage as we took the front row of the grid, though progress improved as the conditions dried out.
Lighter front wheel drive cars thundered ahead and mechanical issues soon affected the field. The BMW quickly developed a leaky radiator and a trip to Cross Hands was made to get a spare. Meanwhile the Proton crew lost a driveshaft, tracked one down in a scrap yard and fitted it to carry on.
With a Peugeot radiator being a less than perfect fit, the team resigned themselves to frequent pit stops, the car giving a display like an Icelandic geyser, and throughout the day they poured 75 litres of water into the beast.
To add to their woes a heavy landing also split the sump. Also, the car lost power and cut out many times but a turn of the key brought the indestructible engine back to life. Understandably they didn’t take part in the Champagne spraying.
John Moulding and Terry Frayne marshalled on the event, and a good day was had by all.
Team members - Mike Frayne, Neil Rees, Tony Derrick, Seyyan John, Barry John
