Peter Lloyd Stages - 5th October

Rob and Laura Tout Finished 1st overall in their Mitsubishi Lancer, well done to them both.

James Tout and Tony Derrick finished 7th in class and 32nd overall.

Matthew Wood-Griffiths and Darren Morris failed to finish when the gearbox broke on the Peugeot 205.

Nathan Davies and Andy Murphy failed to finish when their Vauxhall Nova got stuck in a ditch.

Patriot Stages - 28th September

Jamie Turner and Mike Turner finished 46th overall and 3rd in class in their Rover 214.

Owen Turner and Andrew Dadswell finished 53rd overall and 4th in class in their Rover 214.

Well done to both crews.

Peter Lloyd and Graham Handley retired after suffering a small fire in the Subaru Impreza.

James Tout and Tony Derrick Retired when the suspension broke on the Peugeot 106.

Plains Rally - 20th September

Paul Bevan was co-driving for Roger Taylor in his Escort, their gearbox broke on SS2

Tony Derrick was co-driving for Tim Rodgers in a VW Polo, they retired on SS8

Brawdy Stages - 14th September

Rob and Laura Tout finished 4th overall and 2nd in class.

Alun Williams and Paul Bevan finished 8th overall and 4th in class.

Kevin and Sharron Davies finished 9th overall and 5th in class.

Chris and Wyn Jenkins finished 14th overall and 2nd in class.

James Tout and CJ Taylor finished 41st overall and 9th in class

Well done to these crews.

Nathan and Steffani Davies failed to finish after damaging their suspension and drive shaft.

Darren Tancock and Tony Derrick failed to finish after a small fire!

Cerith Davies and Barry John suffered engine failure.

Twilight Rally 6th September

Owain Roberts and Sherryn Sanigar were deemed OTL along with several other crews.

  

Mewla National Rally -  24th August

Peter Lloyd and Graham Handley Finished 4th Overall. Well done to them.

Rob Tout and Dan Holley failed to finish after leaving the road.

Nathan Davies retired with engine problems.

Peter Lloyd and Graham Handley won the event by 7.8 seconds!

Rob Tout and Dan Holley finished 9th overall.

2008 Legend Fires Epynt Challenge

Congratulations to club member Peter Lloyd and co-driver Graham Handley on being crowned 'Kings of Epynt', by winning the 2008 Legend Fires Epynt Challenge.

Their fourth place finish on the recent Mewla Rally was enough to secure them victory in the four round championship. Well done to them both.

Another club member to feature in the challenge top ten was Rob Tout from Ammanford, who finished in tenth place despite not finishing the Mewla Rally. Rob and co-driver Dan Holley were running second in class when they left the road on stage 6 and were forced to retire.

PK Memorial Rally - 28th June

Tony Derrick was navigating for Ben Owen in a VW Golf. They suffered lighting problems but soldiered on to finish 29th in class and 55th overall. Well done to them.

 

Epynt Hillclimb - 22nd June

Robert Tout finished 3rd in class in his Mitsubishi Lancer.

James Tout finished 10th in class in his Peugeot 106.

Well done to them.

 

1000 Lanes Road Rally - 21st/22nd June

A number of club crews competed on this event, but it was a tough night which meant that only one club crew finished.

Barry John and Matthew Wood-Griffiths finished 3rd in class and 21st overall in Barry's recently acquired 1000cc VW Polo!

Well done to them both.

Sherryn Shanigar navigated for Richard Owen in a Peugeot 306, they finished 43rd overall.

Tony Derrick was co-driving for Andrew Hockridge in the Citroen C2 R2, and they finished 3rd in class. Well done to them.

Rob Tout and Dan Holley finished 1st in class and 13th overall in their Mitsubishi Lancer.

Kevin Davies and Dylan Jenkins finished 3rd in class and 18th overall in their Mitsubishi Lancer.

Chris Jenkins and Bev Walters finished 7th in class and 24th overall in their Ford Escort.

Pirelli International Rally - 18th and 19th April

Tony Derrick was co-driving for Andrew Hockley in a Citroen C2R2, He finished 1st in the C2R2s and 2nd in class (S1600).

Well done to him.

 

Rali Bro Teifi - 12th/13th April

Barry John and Matthew Wood-Griffiths entered in Barry's 'Ravenger' but the Ravenger got Ravenged by a steel gate post!

Barry is now building a Ford Escort and has some Hillman Avenger spares for sale!

Port Talbot Motor Club - Red Dragon Rally - Saturday 5th April

 Andy Morgan (co-driver) finished 4th overall and first in class.

Leyton Waters finished 20th overall and 2nd in class in his Toyota Starlet.

Trevor Baynham and Anthony Bailey finished 30th overall and 1st in class in their Escort.

Well done to these crews.

Jon and Jane Fox failed to finish after rolling their Mitsubishi on stage 1.
